Police investigating death of 20-year-old man at Wiscasset apartment

WISCASSET, Maine — The death Thursday of a 20-year-old man at the Sheepscot Bay Apartment complex remains under investigation by Wiscasset police and the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Department.

Officers and a Wiscasset ambulance responded at 5:41 p.m. Thursday to the apartment complex on Federal Street for a report that a 20-year-old man was unresponsive and not breathing.

According to a release from Wiscasset Police Chief Troy Cline, Officer Willy Simmons was the first on scene and attempted CPR.

The man was subsequently taken to Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta, where he was pronounced dead.

No further information was immediately available.
