AUGUSTA, Maine — State troopers throughout Maine will gather in three locations next week for meetings and inspections with Col. Robert Williams and the department’s command staff.
The inspections for the 320 troopers will be held in Bangor, Augusta and Portland, according to spokesman Stephen McCausland.
The first inspection will take place Monday morning in Bangor for troopers in the northern third of the state. The vehicle portion of the inspection will be at the Bangor International Airport overflow lot outside the Maine Air National Guard Base entrance. If weather conditions demand, the inspection and command staff meeting will be at the Maine Air National Guard Flight Training Center. Heavy rains on Monday would lead to cancellation of the outside portion of the inspection.
Central Maine troopers will head to Capitol Park in Augusta and meet in State House house chambers on Tuesday for their inspection, while on Wednesday southern Maine troopers will meet at the Portland’s Elks Lodge on Congress Street for their inspection.
All three inspections begin at 10 a.m.
