Pittsfield Municipal Airport receives $290,000 for improvements

PITTSFIELD, Maine — The Pittsfield Municipal Airport was awarded $290,196 in federal grant funding to make improvements, including the reconstruction of the existing taxiway, it was announced Friday.

“Maine’s airports, both big and small, support local businesses and boost our economy,” said Sens. Susan Collins and Angus King in a joint statement. “This funding will help make important improvements, and maintain a safe operational environment, at the Pittsfield Municipal Airport.”

The grant was provided by the Federal Aviation Administration.
