BANGOR, Maine — A Trenton man was arrested Monday afternoon after police allegedly found a knife in his vehicle.

Jeremy Madore, 32, was originally acting strangely inside the Empire Beauty salon on Broadway, prompting employees to call police, according to Sgt. Paul Edwards.

Employees thought that Madore was under the influence of something, Edwards said. The sergeant said he has no idea why Madore was inside the establishment to begin with.

Police stopped Madore on Broadway soon after he left the salon, Edwards said, and not only discovered his license was suspended, but Madore had a knife underneath the driver’s seat.

Madore was placed under arrest and charged with trafficking in dangerous knives and operating after suspension, Edwards said. He was brought to Penobscot County Jail and later released.
