CHARLESTON and CARIBOU – Rev. Clifford A. Bell, 83, died July 28, 2013, at his home in Charleston after a long illness. He was born Sept. 2, 1929, in Mars Hill, son of Allen and Mae (Hatfield) Bell.
After attending Aroostook Central Institute, he graduated from Husson College in 1947. He served as a U.S. Army veteran in the Korean War and then worked as a bookkeeper for 20 years. In 1970 he started pastoring in Allagash and later joined and became president of Full Gospel Ministerial Fellowship.
He is survived by daughter, Vicki Wilson and husband, Scott, of Corinth; two sons, Derek Bell and Leslie of Stetson and Jeffrey Bell and Faith of Charleston; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Mike was predeceased by his first wife, Arlene Bell; second wife, Martha Myshrall; and two sisters, Marjorie and Frances. The family wish to express their thanks to the VA staff and also Community Health and Counseling Service for their loving care given to Mike during his illness.
Friends may call at 6-8 p.m. Tuesday evening, at Lagrange Full Gospel Assembly, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Edward Costain officiating. Caribou friends are invited to call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday evening, at Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir St., Caribou. Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, at Evergreen Cemetery, Caribou.
