SWANVILLE, Maine — A man was arrested Wednesday night after police were called to the scene of a domestic disturbance complaint at a Stonewall Drive home.
Deputies from the Waldo County Sheriff’s Office wrote in the police report that they found an argument between Jeff Lindelof, 48, and his family members had escalated to the point where one of the family members decided to call police, according to a news release issued Thursday by the sheriff’s office.
Lindelof reportedly disabled the phone so the call couldn’t be made, but the family member eventually managed to call police using a cell phone, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputy Kyle Wasiela interviewed Lindelof then arrested him, charging him with obstructing the report of a crime, a Class D misdemeanor charge. He was taken to Waldo County Jail in Belfast to be booked and then released on $300 unsecured cash bail.
