BANGOR — Tyler Neville tossed a complete game two-hitter and notched the lone RBI in the game to lead Motor City past the Penquis Navigators 1-0 at Husson University’s Winkin Complex Sunday in American Legion baseball action.
Neville was tough on the mound, allowing just two hits to Penquis’ Abe Simpson. Simpson led off the fourth with a single and also led off the ninth with a bunt single. Neville struck out 12 and walked four while throwing 109 pitches.
The only run scored was in the home half of the first inning when Cameron Archer walked and stole second. Neville drove an 0-2 pitch to right with two outs to score Archer from second.
Cody Caruso pitched well in the loss for Penquis (3-4). Caruso went eight innings, scattering eight hits, walking just one batter and striking out four.
Cody Collins, Neville and Tommy Burns were all repeat hitters for Motor City (4-4). Each player singled twice.

Hampden 7, Lumber 1
At Hampden, Andrew Giosia cranked a three-run home run and Matt Palmer added a solo shot and double to help Hampden roll by the Lumber.
Spencer Hartsgrove chipped in with two singles and an RBI for the winners, backing pitcher Tristan Gardner, who allowed only a run and five hits in eight innings.
Trysten Pelkey notched an RBI single for the Lumber and Kyle McVey singled and scored a run.
