BANGOR — Bangor-based MustTryIt Media announced on June 12 the launch of its mobile website MustTryIt.com to promote the small business community. Bangor, Bar Harbor and Portland are among the cities represented.
Company founder Tobin Slaven said, “MustTryIt.com is a mobile website that enables users to browse local ‘musty try’ businesses in their city, vote for the ones they love and discover new ones they didn’t even know about. The real benefit is that people get a chance to make a connection with the local small business owners they can trust, so they feel like they’ve got a friend in the business. We want to help make everyday be like Small Business Saturday.
By helping connect deserving local businesses with these buy-local-minded people, we believe they are more likely to keep their dollars local when they have a connection and a friend in the business. Our mission is to save Main Street by enabling connections between local shoppers and deserving small businesses.”
Currently more than 100 local businesses have been profiled, with new nominations and additions added each day. Criteria is focused on locally owned and non-franchised small business owners.
