MILFORD, Maine — A 26-year-old man was hospitalized Tuesday after his motorcycle collided with a car on Route 2, according to police.

Ryan McGregor of Milford was heading westbound near the intersection with Davenport Street when his motorcycle was hit by an eastbound car driven by Melady Love, 37, of Milford, according to Deputy Ray Goodspeed of the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office.

Goodspeed said Love was attempting to make a left-hand turn onto Davenport Street and did not see McGregor.

McGregor, who was not wearing a helmet, was transported to Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor with undisclosed injuries, the deputy said. Love was not injured.

McGregor’s motorcycle was “pretty close to totaled,” Goodspeed said, while Love’s car suffered significant front-end damage.

The accident remains under investigation, and the deputy said possible charges could be filed.
