BINGHAM, Maine — Sister Dorothy Bujold of the Congregation of St. Joseph has excelled in many roles, including as a teacher, parish worker and advocate for peace, over 64 years and on three continents, including the last decade at St. Peter Church in Bingham.

On Saturday, June 22, the 87-year-old Winslow native’s selfless service will be recognized in a celebration Mass before she moves on to live in Waterville. The Mass will be celebrated at 4 p.m. and a reception will follow.

Bujold served in various Maine communities, France, Italy and several countries in Africa before arriving in Bingham, where she visited the sick, brought Communion to homebound people and organized religious education programs, among other tasks.
