Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office honor guard to present colors at Fenway Park

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

PORTLAND, Maine — The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office will be represented at Fenway Park in Boston on Tuesday night.

The department’s Honor Guard will present the colors during pre-game ceremonies at Tuesday’s game between the Red Sox and Texas Rangers, according to Sheriff Kevin Joyce.

“We see this as an excellent opportunity to represent the State of Maine, showcase our Honor Guard and pay tribute to the City of Boston in response to the recent bombing at the Boston Marathon,” Joyce said in a statement.
