CUSHING, Maine — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in an investigation of a 31-year-old Cushing man who has been missing for eight days.
Kevin Stone Crute was last seen at Ande’s Market in Warren midmorning Tuesday, May 21, according to Knox County Chief Deputy Tim Carroll. Crute was dropped off at the market by a friend and was last seen by store employees.
Family members contacted the sheriff’s department on Saturday. The department has been investigating his disappearance since then, the chief deputy said.
Crute has had no contact with friends or family, Carroll said.
“We’re not ruling anything out because we have so little information,” Carroll said.
Crute lives alone in Cushing but has family and friends throughout the area and is active on social media, the chief deputy said.
The sheriff’s office is working with Maine State Police’s Major Crimes Unit, the Maine Warden Service and Maine Marine Patrol to help with the investigation.
Crute is described as a white male, 6 feet, 2 inches tall, weighing 200 pounds with red hair and blue eyes.
Carroll said if anyone has seen Crute since last Tuesday or knows his whereabouts contact the Knox County Regional Communications Center at 593-9132.
