BRUNSWICK, Maine — A 19-year-old man was arrested Sunday night and charged with felony theft after police allegedly found stolen electronics and other items in his home.

Jordan Griffis of Brunswick was arrested at his home just after 7 p.m. Sunday and charged with theft by receiving.

Police initially went to Griffis’ home after a woman reported that her iPhone had been stolen and she suspected Griffis had taken it, Brunswick police Lt. Mike Moody said Monday.

Officers allegedly found other items in his home that had been stolen previously, according to Moody.

After securing the scene and executing a search warrant, detectives allegedly found property that the owners didn’t realize had been stolen, Moody said. Among the items were electronics and power tools.

Additional charges are pending.

Griffis was taken to Cumberland County Jail and held on $1,060 cash bail. He is scheduled for arraignment on Tuesday.
