Roger Kenneth Pingree

BUXTON – Roger Kenneth Pingree, 50, passed away May 12, 2013, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House, Scarborough. He was born Oct. 9, 1962, in Dexter, son of Keith and Leola (Hewes) Pingree, who reside in Dexter.

At age 14, Roger started his first job at Reny’s. After graduating Dexter Regional High School, he went on to work for Shop N Save, Dexter Shoe, Guilford Industries, Bridge Construction Corp., I.P., J.D. Krafts, and Bill’s Auto Transport. He then went into business for himself and operated Pingree and Sons Transport. Roger was a member of Buxton-Hollis Lions Club. He enjoyed his sister, Jean’s, Christmas yankee swap parties and most of all being with his beloved family and friends.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Cathy (Emmons) Pingree; sons, Logan Pingree of Monroe, Jared Pingree and wife, Sonya, of Kansas, and Garrett Pingree and wife, Felicia, of Hollis; stepchildren, Heath Smith and wife, Nicole, of East Waterboro and Lindsey Bogdahn of Buxton; siblings, David Pingree of Carmel, Robert Pingree of Garland and Jean Moreno of Dover-Foxcroft; grandchildren, Kieran, Alexis, Olivia, Emily and Colton; friends from his hometown, Sandy Larson, Kelly Jordan, Scott Wilson, Wayne Smith, Keith Smith, Bill Etheridge and Randy Turner; and friends from southern Maine, Bo and Heather Stone, Mike Smith and Skip Davis.

Visiting hours will be held 3-5 p.m. Wednesday, May 15, at Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home, on the corners of Routes 202 and 4A, 13 Portland Road, Buxton, Bar Mills, with a memorial service afterward at 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
