LIMINGTON, Maine — A 53-year-old York County man was arrested Thursday night after police say drugs and a gun were found in his car during a traffic stop.

Wayne Atwood of East Baldwin is facing multiple charges including aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs and carrying a concealed weapon, Chief Deputy William King of the York County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.

Approximately 100 30-milligram oxycodone tablets and a .380-caliber handgun were found in Atwood’s car shortly after 9 p.m. Thursday, King said. He declined to say why Atwood’s vehicle was pulled over, only saying that it was a traffic stop.

Atwood is being held at the York County Jail on $11,000 bail, King said. He is due in court July 24.
