HOLDEN, Maine — Gagne & Son Concrete’s new location at 252 Main Road will hold a grand opening from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, May 11, Darrell Pelotte, program development and sales manager, said Thursday.
It is the company’s eighth location in Maine.
The 8000-square-foot retail facility, which has three full-time employees, features outdoor displays that include cobblestone, granite and pavers. The shop received planning board approval in December 2011 and opened last year.
“We have our own line of Maine made pavers and retaining walls we manufacture in Belgrade,” Pelotte said.
The concrete company was started in 1945 in Augusta and had a location in Veazie until that location was sold in 2005.
“The reason we [built] a new store in Holden is to get back into the area,” Pelotte said.
Gagne & Son Concrete also sells to commercial contractors.
The business is regularly open 7 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to noon Saturdays.
