By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

BANGOR, Maine — A local woman spent the night in jail after police said they found her intoxicated and yelling on State Street early Tuesday.

Karyn Young, 33, had been given a disorderly conduct warning earlier in the evening by Bangor police Officer Derek Laflin, according to Sgt. Paul Edwards.

Shortly after 2 a.m. Tuesday, Laflin was driving down State Street near the Mobil gas station when he observed Young yelling while walking down the street, according to Edwards.

Laflin placed her under arrest and charged her with disorderly conduct, Edwards said.

Young was taken to Penobscot County Jail and later released on bail.
