BERWICK, Maine — A Berwick police officer witnessed a burglary Thursday when a 16-year old juvenile kicked in the basement door of a property on Hubbard Road, police say.

Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the incident: Michael Conrad, 19, of Dover, N.H.; Raili Goss, 18, of Rochester, N.H.; and the 16-year old juvenile from Rochester.

Police say Conrad and the 16-year-old entered the house while Goss used her mother’s vehicle and sat in the driveway waiting for the males to exit the house with stolen items.

All three were charged with burglary, criminal mischief, possession of a usable amount of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

According to the Berwick Police Department, there have been a slew of residential robberies within the last month that have occurred in a 2-mile radius of the downtown area. At all the home burglaries, entry was forced. Items stolen consisted of loose change, jewelry and jewelry boxes, electronics, DVD movies and baseball trading cards.

Berwick residents are strongly encouraged to secure their homes and report suspicious activity to the Berwick Police Department.
