Coach Steve Trimper’s keys to the game: “We want to see some guys step up, like what happened with Kyle Silva last week. I think we’re looking for the same thing from the pitching staff, getting experience and establishing reliability going into the weekend.”

Game notes: The Black Bears, who have won six-straight games, return home for a nonleague game against the Division III Mules. Colby is coming off a three-game sweep at the hands of instate rival Bowdoin. UMaine swept UMBC over the weekend but experienced some inconsistencies on the mound and in the field. Colby coach Dale Plummer pitched at UMaine.
