KENNEBUNK, Maine — A York County man was arrested Friday by drug agents in connection with a heroin overdose that killed another man.

Matthew Danis, 27, of Arundel was taken into custody in Kennebunk, according to Maine Drug Enforcement Agency director Roy McKinney.

Danis is accused of aggravated trafficking in heroin. He is accused of supplying the drug to 39-year-old Charles Lipesto of Kennebunk, who died of an overdose on Jan. 20, McKinney said.

An investigation by MDEA agents and Kennebunk police determined that Danis gave Lipesto the drug, McKinney said.

Danis is being held at the York County Jail on $10,000 bail.
