BRUNSWICK, Maine — A man who allegedly broke into C&R Trading Post on Old Portland Road last May and then failed to appear in court to face burglary and criminal mischief charges was arrested Wednesday on a warrant near Waco, Texas.

Charles P. Bishop, 22, of Lawton, Okla., was charged with Class C burglary and Class C criminal mischief, but failed to appear in court, Detective Sgt. Martin Rinaldi of the Brunswick Police Department said Thursday.

A warrant was issued for his arrest and because C&R is a federal firearms licensed dealer, the Maine Violent Offender Task Force was notified.

Bishop was arrested on warrants for failure to appear and taken into custody by U.S. marshals. He will be extradited, Rinaldi said.
