Brunswick woman wakes to find intruder wearing head lamp in her home

By Darcie Moore, Times Record

BRUNSWICK, Maine — Local police say a woman was woken early Tuesday morning by a sound downstairs and found it was an intruder wearing a head lamp inside the Boody Street residence.

After she was roused by the noise, the woman went downstairs to the first floor. As she made her way down the stairs, she saw someone leaving the residence and called police, who went to the home at 3:46 a.m.

The suspect was wearing a head lamp, Deputy Chief Marc Hagan said. Police believe it was a man and say he got inside the house through an unlocked door and made away with a small amount of cash.

Police were not able to find the thief and as of Tuesday morning, Hagan said police had no suspects.
