Argument at Bangor High School leads to smashed windshield, charge

By Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN Staff

BANGOR, Maine — A Bangor High School student got so mad at a family member who was dropping him off at school Tuesday morning that he punched the windshield and smashed it,

Bangor police Officer Jason McAmbley said Wednesday.

“A kid got into an argument with his [relative] as he got out of the car and he punched the windshield,” he said. “[The relative] wanted him charged — he was charged.”

Jeffrey Bean, 18, now faces a criminal mischief charge for the 9:30 a.m. incident at the school. The police report “doesn’t say” what the argument was about, said McAmbley, a community relations officer.
