South Thomaston to hold candidates forum

SOUTH THOMASTON, Maine — Residents next month can get to meet and question the candidates running for their town’s board of selectmen.

A candidates night has been scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, at the South Thomaston Library, also known as the Little Red Schoolhouse.

There are four people seeking a two-year term on the board of selectmen.

Candidates for the single two-year seat are Dianne Darling, David Eaton, Wayne

Brown and Sonja Sleeper.

Dorothy Meriwether is running uncontested for a three-year term.

The town meeting is set for 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, at the Gilford Butler School.
