Police offer reward in Springvale robbery

SANFORD, Maine — Police continue to search for a man accused of robbing a convenience store in York County on Tuesday.

Sanford police Detective Sgt. Matt Jones said police are thoroughly investigating the robbery at the 7-Eleven in the village of Springvale. A reward of $600 has been offered for information leading to the arrest of the suspect.

The suspect, described as a white male standing 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds, reportedly walked into the store Tuesday night, displayed a firearm, demanded cash and fled with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect was wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt, bluejeans, hiking boots, green gloves and a ski mask at the time of the robbery. He has green and gray eyes.
