Woman accused of striking male family member

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

BANGOR, Maine — An all-day argument between a Bangor woman and a male family member Friday ended with the female going to jail, police said Monday.

Sgt. Paul Edwards said Linda Laws, 51, and the man had been arguing throughout the day, and the fight eventually escalated.

The man had minor lacerations on his face when police arrived, according to Edwards, and that was enough for officers to place Laws under arrest.

She was charged with domestic violence assault, brought to Penobscot County Jail and later released on $60 bail, the sergeant said.
