LEBANON, Maine — A New Hampshire woman was injured early Monday when the car she was driving was struck by a pickup truck on Route 202, police said.
Staci Nailor, 22, of Rochester was headed eastbound around 6:15 a.m. when she was broadsided by a turning pickup driven by Cleveland Welch, 72, of Lebanon, Chief Deputy William King of the York County Sheriff’s Office said.
Welch, the owner of Welch’s Hardware and Lumber, was turning from Route 202 into the parking lot of his business when his truck struck Nailor, according to King. Welch was traveling westbound on Route 202 prior to turning.
Welch was not injured in the crash while Lebanon Rescue transported Nailor to Goodall Hospital in Sanford for treatment. King said she was not seriously injured. Both vehicles were demolished in the accident.
