Waterville man accused of assault on female family member

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

WATERVILLE, Maine — A Waterville man was arrested Friday morning after assaulting a female family member, police said.

Eric Starner, 31, had allegedly been fighting with the woman overnight Thursday and into the morning hours of Friday, Waterville Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey said Monday.

The argument grew heated and Starner punched the woman several times, Rumsey said. The woman was not seriously hurt.

Starner was arrested and booked on a charge of domestic violence assault, Rumsey said. He was released on $500 cash bail.
