Thoughts and prayers to the family. Christine, I pray you find a way to not blame yourself for this tragic accident. I pray you will find the strength to move forward as the days come. You have 4 beautiful angels watching down over you. I am so sorry for your losses, I can not even begin to imagine what you are going through. Hold your family and friends tight, they will help you through this!

It is nice to see Hollywood Slots making a personal donation to Christine Johnson. I am sure there are many other businesses and individuals that have, will be, or would be, willing to make donations to her. I think the BDN does a good job providing the public with information on how they can give something to her. I think anyone that has gone through personal tragedy has put finances last on their priority list but the fact remains that people that lend will do whatever they can to get it back. Lenders push hard to get their money and they almost never let emotion be a factor. On top of the worst devastating event one can only imagine, the thought of her having to worry about finances is scary. The worst past is that once the story gets purged off the front page a lot people will begin to forget.

Again, I think it is great that the BDN has given us information on how to give and I hope they continue to keep that part of their story. I think we need to dig deep for whatever we can. I am encouraging the people I know to write a check. I am encouraging many in my circle to consider putting something off this week that they can live without and passing the resources to Christine. Even our kids can go without their allowance or look between the couch cushions or take back the bottles and cans…anything.

It is going to take a lot of money for her and all that money is out there. I have discovered that people are willing to give when asked and it’s easier if people know the process involved regarding how to do it.

Christine will never be able to ask for finances but those that are her family and friends, PLEASE keep asking. Please keep letting us know ways we can help. Please give the public the easiest way to get money to her and we will. Many of us will.

For anyone attending the spaghetti dinner, I will see you there.

    God bless her.

Tears are the words your heart uses
to explain that even your fake
smiles can’t cover up your pain
and even though they are gone
    you will never be apart
because no matter what the distance
they will forever be in your heart.

  • Sending prayers for this poor woman and her angels in heaven. Such a sad and tragic loss.
