Auburn police seek armed robbery suspect

Auburn Police are looking for a white male who robbed Wheeler's Market on South Main Street on Saturday night.

AUBURN, Maine — Police are looking for a suspect who held up Wheeler’s Market on Saturday night.

A white male entered the store on South Main Street about 7 p.m., showed a handgun and demanded money. He left the store and fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured.

The armed robbery suspect is described as a white male, between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall, and weighing from 180 to 200 pounds. He wore a blue sweatshirt and dark pants. A dark scarf and black sunglasses covered most of his face.

The Auburn Police Department asks that anyone who may have been in the area at the time or has any information about the robbery call 333- 6650.
