BANGOR, Maine — Anita Peavey Haskell will join the Eastern Maine Medical Center Auxiliary at its 119th annual meeting to share the tragic yet heartwarming story about her son, Raish, and her pursuit to fight cancer in his memory. The meeting will take place at noon Thursday, Nov. 8, at Wellman Commons, 300 Union St.

The Auxiliary’s current pledge of $350,000 to the Heroes Hope and Healing Campaign will provide support to the EMMC Raish Peavey Haskell Children’s Cancer and Treatment Center in the Lafayette Family CancerCare Center in Brewer. Allen L’Italien, executive director for CancerCare of Maine, will talk about the project.
