How could Towson be ranked No. 15 with a 2-3 record entering the game?  Maine played a hard game and kept it close.  Congratulations to the boys without scholarships who play for the joy and passion of football.   It is time to transform a substantial percentage of football scholarships into academic scholarships.

Towson lost to LSU and Kent State (5-1 with win over Army).  The rankings in this division reflect the lack of a sufficient number of teams and a certain bias for teams in a particular conference.  It is strange that the headline in electronic print has changed from No. 15 to No. 17.  Somebody must be reading the comments.

Maine fields the dumbest most undisciplined teams I’ve ever seen.  With a chance to take possession in good field position late in the game they get flagged for roughing the Kicker?  Pathetic.

Announced attendance might be 3200. Reality will be closer to 320.
