Prescription drug take-back scheduled by Bangor police for this weekend

BANGOR, Maine — Bangor police are holding a drug take-back event this weekend and drop-off sites will be set up across the city.

People may dispose of unused prescription drugs on the Griffin Road side of the Airport Mall, the Bangor police station or Cascade Park on State Street.

Anyone dropping off prescription drugs “will be kept anonymous and no questions will be asked,” said a Bangor Police Department press release. Pills may be removed from their original containers and placed in paper or plastic bags.
