Comments for: The empathy gap

Given the state of the economy, by any historical standard, Barack Obama should be 15 points behind Mitt Romney. Why is he tied? The empathy gap. On “caring about average people,” Obama wins by 22 points. Maintaining that gap was a principal goal of the Democratic… Read More

You don’t buy their story, but you believe Ann Romney’s speech with their desk supposedly being a door propped up on sawhorses? Come on. All this editorial does is reveal the baseless disdain and distrust for Obama and his wife.

I didn’t see where Anne Romney’s speech was mentioned. Your complaint sounds like a bit of misdirection. Do you have trouble addressing Mr Krauthammer’s points directly?

      • Anonymous

That’s exactly my point. Krauthammer questions Obama’s sincerity but not Romney’s. Krauthammer complains about Obama’s “soap opera depiction” and yet Romney did the exact same thing and yet, no complaints there.

I have addressed the points directly. I used a comparison to point out how those points aren’t real points at all — just that they instead reveal baseless distrust and disdain. He’s not being consistent and that proves that his complaints aren’t reactions based upon principles.

Do you have trouble addressing my point directly?

More misdirection. Do you have a comment on any of Dr Krauthammers points?

          • Anonymous

I did comment directly on Krauthammer’s garbage. He obviously doesn’t use the same rubric for all, as demonstrated by the comparison I made. That’s me commenting directly to the fact that this piece is nothing but hypocrisy. That’s direct.

Just because you call the grass blue doesn’t make it so. What you’re doing is misdirection and you’re being a troll about it.

That is you making comments and drawing parallels to the Romney speech…. which Mr Krauthammer did not address. It makes you putting words in his mouth.

That makes you the troll and your whole attack pointless except to distract.

          • Anonymous

You’re a troll. You change the subject and accuse people of things they didn’t do.

I made a comparison. I pointed out the hypocrisy is applying the rubric to one and not the other. That’s direct.

Again, quit trolling. It’s tiring. If you have something real to say it, say it, otherwise, pipe down.

I watched the DNC. At this time I see no substance in the Presidents bid for re-election. It appears to be an emotional campaign, again.

Really? Try looking again, and this time put aside whatever anti-Obama prejudice you have. His campaign is based largely on emotional appeals – as are all political campaigns – but there’s no shortage of substance either.

Actually, it’s Romney who’s running an emotional campaign – while Obama’s explaining how he plans to fix our country, Romney’s at a NASCAR race with Pat Robertson talking about how Americans need more God in our lives.
