Search continues for Sanford man who has been missing for two years

SANFORD, Maine — Police are continuing to ask for the public’s assistance in the disappearance of James Therrien of Sanford.

Therrien, 54, has been missing for two years, according to a news release from the Sanford Police Department.

Therrien was reported missing on Aug. 25, 2010, when he disappeared from his sister’s Thompson Street residence, according to the release. He needed to take medication regularly and his sister assumed he was going to the store when Therrien left the house.

Therrien is described as white, 5-foot-6’, weighing 205 pounds, with hazel eyes and brown hair. He often has a goatee.

The release stated Therrien is not wanted for any crimes, and police are hoping to check his well-being. The public is asked to contact the Sanford police department at 324-9170 ext. 226 with any information on his whereabouts.
