BEDDINGTON, Maine — Local ATV clubs will ride their all-terrain vehicles in the third annual ATV Ride for Camp CaPella Kids through their region and host a cookout on Saturday, Aug. 25, to raise funds to help send children with physical and developmental disabilities to Camp CaPella in Dedham.
ATV operators and ATV clubs are invited to meet at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Airline Lodge and Snackbar, routes 9 and 193, in Beddington for the ride, to watch and join the celebration. The ride will begin at 10 a.m. Club membership is not required, though ATVs must be registered. No dirt bikes are allowed. Registration fee is a $5 donation.
The ride will be co-hosted by the Airline Snackbar ATVers of Beddington and the Airline ATV Riders of Eddington.
After the ride, a cookout featuring roast pork and casseroles, hot dogs, hamburgers and salads will be provided. Donations are requested.
Raffles and giveaways also will be conducted.
Dana Mosher, executive director of Camp CaPella, said, “The ATV Ride for Camp CaPella Kids will be fun for everyone, and it will raise money for our camperships to help local families send their kids with disabilities to camp. We thank each of these ATV clubs and all the riders for their compassion and support.”
