Rockland police officer honored for 20 years of service

Rockland Police Sgt. Don Finnegan (left) was honored Monday night, Aug. 13, 2012 for 20 years of service to the city. He was presented a plaque by Mayor Brian Harden.

ROCKLAND, Maine — A local police officer was honored Monday night at the Rockland City Council meeting for his 20 years of service to the community.

Rockland Police Sgt. Don Finnegan, who is not retiring, was praised for his work with youth and efforts to curb drug abuse in the community.

Mayor Brian Harden presented Finnegan a plaque.
