BOWDOINHAM, Maine — The Sagadahoc County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a burglary at the Bowdoinham Country Store on Route 24 that happened between Wednesday night and Thursday morning.
The burglary was reported Thursday at 6:08 a.m., according to Chief Deputy Brett Strout, and occurred sometime between then and when the store closed Wednesday night. He said cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash were taken.
The incident was investigated by Deputy Robert Mayer and Deputy Steve Thibeault and the ongoing follow-up investigation is being led by Detective Dan Reed. Strout said the sheriff’s department is following leads.
The store is located at 54 River Road, which is Route 24.
