PORTLAND, Maine — Chris Lewis has been named vice president of finance at Putney Inc., a pharmaceutical company focused on the development and sale of generic prescription medicines for pets, according to a press release from the company. Lewis will report to CEO and President Jean Hoffman.

Lewis is responsible for overseeing financial processes and providing financial leadership during Putney’s current period of revenue growth. His previous experience in the animal health industry includes 12 years at IDEXX Laboratories, where he served as senior finance manager for the Production Animal Division and applied his analytical and management expertise to support business segment growth from $20 million to $85 million, according to the release from Putney.

Lewis comes to Putney after a term as CFO of Tricorp Federal Credit Union and says he is glad to be back in the veterinary space.

“Putney is positioned for significant growth,” said Lewis. “I’m looking forward to creating the analytical framework and financial infrastructure that maximizes our profitability as we commercialize more and more of our products.”
