VEAZIE, Maine — The Veazie and Glenburn RSU 26 withdrawal committees will hold the first in a series of planning meetings this week as they start to form a plan for how to pull their towns out of the school district they share with Orono.

The Veazie committee will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the town office at 1084 Main St. The Glenburn committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Glenburn town office, 144 Lakeview Road.

Both committees have been asked to bring their plans to present at the next full school board meeting, which is scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, for early discussions.

Veazie has scheduled a special budget workshop for 6 p.m. Monday, May 7, before the regular council meeting. The town also has scheduled a public hearing on the budget that night.
