Outlook: The Black Bears put their 14-game win streak on the line against the always-tough Bearcats. The Bears beat Bates 10-3 on Wednesday, while the Bearcats dropped Tuesday’s nonleague doubleheader at Marist. UMaine is without freshman cleanup hitter Scott Heath of Westbrook, who is out at least 10 days with a shoulder separation. Patzalek (sore back) is expected to be available after being hurt Sunday. UMaine is batting .394 and averages 17 runs per game in AE play after beating up on UMBC and Hartford. Binghamton owns a 3.83 AE team ERA and has some bullpen depth.
