Brush fire added to string of suspicious blazes in Gorham

GORHAM, Maine — Another suspicious fire is under investigation in Gorham.

WMTW-TV reports that an investigator from the state fire marshal’s office was called to the scene of the brush fire reported about 1:20 a.m. Wednesday.

A Fire Department dispatcher said the grass fire was near an unoccupied building on Sebago Lake Road.

There were no reports of injuries.

There have been at least five suspicious fires in the community in the past three weeks that have damaged or destroyed vacant buildings, but no arrests.

Authorities are urging residents to be vigilant.
