PRESQUE ISLE, Maine — A Woodland man remained hospitalized in stable condition Wednesday evening after a single-car crash in the city the night before.

Presque Isle police Cpl. Wayne Selfridge said Wednesday that the rollover accident took place on Parsons Road.

Jeffrey Chasse, 41, was operating his 1987 Dodge Ram pickup truck on the roadway when he lost control of the vehicle, according to Selfridge.

Chasse was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the truck. A passer-by reported the accident.

Selfridge said Chasse suffered multiple broken bones and internal injuries. He was taken by Crown Ambulance to The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle.

Chasse was in stable condition Wednesday evening, according to Selfridge.

The investigation into the crash continues and no charges have been filed.

Officers Cole Chandler, Kevin Reed and Peter Johnson were the investigating officers.

Chasse’s vehicle had serious damage and likely is totaled, according to Selfridge.
