BANGOR, Maine — Police dealt with an intoxicated Clinton Street man several times on Friday and arrested him late in the day after he called 911 and then hung up without reporting an emergency, Bangor police Sgt. Ed Potter said Sunday.
John Pettegraw, 34, was disorderly and intoxicated when Officers Joe Page and Chris Blanchard arrived at around 8:40 p.m. to investigate the emergency 911-hangup call.
“He was hollering and screaming at them,” Potter said.
Pettegraw also had his music turned up and refused to turn it down, the sergeant said.
After several disorderly conduct warnings, to which Pettegraw responded with “a few choice words,” he was arrested for disorderly conduct, Potter said. He was taken to Penobscot County Jail and later released, a jail official said. (Nok-Noi Ricker, BDN)
