Adame leads St. Joseph’s lacrosse team to win over Husson


BANGOR — Anneke Adame scored three of her five goals in the first half to spark the St. Joseph’s College Monks to an 18-10 victory over the Husson University Eagles in a women’s lacrosse game Thursday at Boucher Field.

Cassie Diplock also tallied five goals for Saint Joseph’s of Standish (1-0), including three in the second half. Amelia Santos posted three goals and three assists, Megan Cutter and Kirstin McCombs scored two goals each and Krystal Walsh added one.

Elizabeth Giacchino and Haley Nelson combined to make eight saves for the Monks.

Kim Gambon led Husson (0-2) with three goals and two assists, while Steph Eaton provided three goals and an assist. Haley Huntington contributed two goals, Caitlyn Stauffer chipped in with a goal and four assists and Abi Staab scored once.

Kayla Guerrette finished with 11 saves.
