Outlook: The Black Bears continue their quest for improvement and cohesiveness as they take on the powerhouse Terriers. UMaine dropped a 66-44 decision Saturday at UMBC, but did welcome back Walczak (head injury) and junior Amber Smith (illness). First-place BU has won 10 straight, including Saturday’s 62-49 victory over Binghamton. In AE play, the Terriers are the top scoring team (64.8 ppg) and they rank first in FG percentage defense (.306) and second in scoring defense (48.1 ppg). The seventh-place Bears hope to make a better showing than in the first meeting, when they were not competitive.
