Comments for: Discovery of decomposed body in Stacyville remains mystery after more than a year

They say no signs of foul play but can they say for sure what was the cause of death? It doesn’t sound like cheap clothing. I think somebody made off with his wallet, vehicle and anything else of value. That’s not to say he was murdered. Maybe a person named Chris is now wearing a designer label cap. I think he was taking a romantic stroll in the woods with a hitchhiker. He suffered a heart attack or stroke, The hitchhiker decided to be an opportunist.

      Wow, great imagination, young fella…

The last part was joking a bit. I do wonder if he left his valuables in a locked vehicle and somebody saw where he hid the key.

I was joking too hahahaha! But seriously this is sad he hasn’t been laid to rest yet properly.

Very sad, there’s a web site, can’t remember the name, it has, photos, drawings and information about found bodies that haven’t been claimed….there’s a lot….

Maybe your name is chris. You know what happened don’t you?! They now have your IP address and if you used the library computer they still know, you have to show ID to use those.

“Unsure as to the identity” would mean they have an idea who this guy was, just not positive. But they have no idea at all and the entire thing is still a complete mystery to them. It will probably remain one for years.
    Too bad…

Has it occurred to them to try contacting MA Police about any missing persons they have on file that might match this?

A few years back, there were flyers going around Bar Harbor asking if anyone had seen, “Chris”. I wonder if this might be the same one. I think it would be worth checking into….

  • I think it to be high time the skull been sent to one of those people that makes a face out of clay according  is facial structure.

Um- where is the composite sketch of this individual? There are SO many people missing that will never be found… So you find one, and you let it sit for a year, with no other details??  Really?  Get a sketch going, and even if this person has limited family, at least someone will be able to identity him. You mean to tell me no one noticed a man in his 50’s 5’9 and 150 pounds is gone?? If you’re the journalist on this, why aren’t you digging deeper instead of pulling stuff off Reuters??  Something is majorly amiss here. GET TO THE BOTTOM OF IT!!

I saw a website for missing people that lists this case and it actually listed names of people that have been missing but have been determined that this was not them. One other thing that was interesting was this particular site indicated that the body had no hands. It gives no other details. Don’t know if that means the hands were missing or if they had decomposed that badly. I find it odd that this is not mentioned in any newspaper article.
