Bangor woman accused of pushing boyfriend

By Ryan McLaughlin, BDN Staff

BANGOR, Maine — A local woman is behind bars after police say she pushed her boyfriend in an argument at their Broadway apartment.

Police were called to the home of Nicole Cunningham, 24, just after 3 p.m. Tuesday after she and the boyfriend had been arguing, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Wednesday.

Cunningham left the apartment before police arrived, according to Edwards, but when she returned just before 8 p.m., the boyfriend contacted police.

Edwards said officers went to the apartment and arrested Cunningham without incident. The boyfriend was not injured.

Cunningham was charged with domestic violence assault and remains in the Penobscot County Jail. She faces up to a year in jail if convicted.
