Guidelines for posting on bangordailynews.com

The Bangor Daily News and the Bangor Publishing Co. encourage comments about stories, but you must follow our terms of service.

  1. Keep it civil and stay on topic
  2. No vulgarity, racial slurs, name-calling or personal attacks.
  3. People who harass others or joke about tragedies will be blocked.
The primary rule here is pretty simple: Treat others with the same respect you'd want for yourself. Here are some guidelines (see more):

  • Some people just never learn. Others must like the food and wonderful atmosphere at PCJ.

JC Penney makes jeans worth over 200.00 dollars?  Wow……learned something today……this lady obviously hasn’t learned much about the repercussions of theft.

    • Edit: Thanks dkenzie.

        Its been updated kevin

Your Welcome, but i still thin the news person should have caught it and called Mr. Edwards to confirm the story

    • Anonymous

nor has any of the members of congress or the  ex governor of new jersey!!they all need to have a education, and get expelled!

    • Anonymous

read it again, it also includes a sweatshirt, mand a few other items, the jeans are not $200.00 item.

      • Anonymous

It got updated since phone calls to Bangor daily about a  $200 pair of jeans.

  • Anonymous

$204.00 for a pair of jeans??  With prices like that people would have to steal ’em!  But, that doesn’t make it right.

  • Anonymous

jeans valued at $204 are you serious.  I dont think they have a pair of jeans that high.

    • Anonymous

Read my mind.  First thing I thought was, “There’s something valued $204 at JC Penney?”

Maybe they misplaced that decimal point?

      • Anonymous

You might be right considering the lack of proof reading in the BDN lately.  I bet the jeans were $20.40

        • Anonymous

You are correct, the lack of proof reading strikes again, either this woman stole more then a pair of jeans, or someone misplaced the decimal, apparently no red flags were raised with the BDN when they heard a pair of jeans valued at $204 out of JCPenney.

          • Anonymous

Bangor daily got red flags, but Paul Edwards is the one who sent the report to them, so blame it on him, not the editor

          • Anonymous

An editor would still question it….an editor proof reads for accuracy, this is like saying someone stole a Yugo out of Quirks….

          • Anonymous

You are right on that part, he should have contacted Mr. Edwards and ask if his wording he sent was correct.  Not a very good reporter in my eyes

          • We did find it unusual from the start and verified the price with Mr. Edwards.

          It got updated recently

The best thing to do is let her wear those jeans when they put her in general population in a womans prison.  See how much her fellow inmates like them

5 years? In Maine? What a joke, a fine a spank on the hand and probation. Any bets?

    • Anonymous

Unfortunately, I’ll bet you’re absolutely right.

  • I think she has gotten away with it more times then she has been caught.

  • Anonymous

I workedwith her years ago at a restaurant that she stole hundreds of dollar from… she obviously hasnt learned anything. Shari is a woman who needs help!!

    • Anonymous

I agree that she needs help.

“Here, Ms Nakai-Lombardi, allow me to help you into this jail cell, where you’ll be spending the next 5 years.”

was it twin city buffett (the chinese place in brewer that serves old and cold food)

      • Passadumkeagah

I eat there, and I like the food. Your (completely unrelated) comment has no place in this thread.

    $ 204 dollars for a pair of jeans !! ??
    That is the real crime.

  • The police report did not itemize all the stolen items but a follow-up call has revealed that other items were indeed reported stolen, hence the $204 value. We will update the story.

      Thank you

Maybe if you are out on bail, you should not get bail for the second incident!

Hahahaha  “the cat shut its eyes while stealing”.  Thats great!

  • Anonymous

they will idiotically give her probation again so she keep her job as a thief.

  • Anonymous

Hold the presses, between the BDN and  Barney Fife giving us updates on crime in the Queen City, we’ll never get to the bottom of a story.

JC Penny has a great loss prevention department. These guys don’t mess around. Good job guys, you keep catching these girls and you will always have a job.

    • Anonymous

guys catching girls… ain’t it grand?

  • Anonymous

that pic, looks like she should have been stealing a comb and some soap.

  • Anonymous

including a sweatshirt, valued at $204 on Friday, Bangor police Sgt. Paul Edwards said Tuesday Looks like the sweatshirt was valued at $ 204, to me.

I love J.C. Penney.  I went out there to buy a memory foam matress pad.  On sale half off.  $120.00. 1 1/2 inch thick for a twin bed.  It was about 6″ too short and 4″ too narrow.  What a deal.

  • ohhh she’s a keeper!!

  • Guest

they probably made her take off the clothes and hung them back up for sale :0)
