OLD TOWN, Maine — Two area men were arrested over the weekend on disorderly conduct and other charges after they reportedly caused a ruckus at a Stillwater Avenue residence.
Adam Conroy Langlais, 26, of Old Town was charged with burglary, refusing to sign a summons and disorderly conduct, Old Town police Sgt. Michael Hashey said Thursday, citing arrest reports.
Laray Glendale Davis, 38, of Milford was charged with refusing to sign a summons and disorderly conduct, he said.
The incident that led to the arrests began about 1:30 a.m. Saturday, when Old Town police were called to a Stillwater Avenue residence to investigate a report that two men were trying to break in, Hashey said.
When he arrived, police learned that Langlais had actually forced his way inside but was shoved back out by a man who lives there, Hashey said. The suspects reportedly were screaming and swearing at the man, who told officers he did not know them.
Among other things, the two threatened the man and his girlfriend and reportedly told him, “This is our block and we control the street,” Hashey said.
Davis and Langlais allegedly yelled at and were combative with police officers, with Langlais going as far as demanding to be arrested. That is ultimately what came to pass, Hashey said, adding, “We try to comply.”
